Olympic Gold Medalist and Regenerative Medicine Therapy.
Olympic gold medalist Steve Hegg is a man of many talents. He is most famous for his two Olympic berths, 13 National titles, and a colorful, highly decorated 25 year professional cycling career. 12 years after his Olympic victory he transitioned from track cycling to road cycling and rode with Lance Armstrong in the 1996 Olympic Road race.
As a 17 year old, he was the youngest downhill skier to be ranked #1 in the World. He won 4 U.S. National titles in skiing before converting to cycling. He read that Jean Claude Killey used cycling to crosstrain for skiing, but Steve never crossed back, he simply rode on to greatness in cycling.
Today, Steve is cycling and participating in racing events. He also cycles daily and enjoys Golf and other activities.
In August 2019, Steve came to StemX looking for relief from chronic back pain caused from years of wear and tear from thousands of hours of cycling. He was diagnosed and approved as a candidate for our therapy and received a 2cc Amniotic Membrane injection into his lower back. Within 2 days his pain was gone. In September, Steve participated in a grueling 5 hour road cycling competition in the High Sierra Mountains in California and finished the event without back pain. Steve has stopped using his medication for back pain and continues to see steady improvement. Cycle on Steve!

"I Recommend The Procedure"
Currently I can climb stairs, dance and walk everywhere. I spent yesterday at Seaworld without any undue concern other than normal fatigue. I recommend the procedure without any reservations, if you qualify.
"My Knees Are Pain Free"
It’s been 5 and a half months. I’m doing well. My knees are pain free, the swelling is gone in both knees. There’s still a little fluid in the left knee, but that’ll go away with time. The spacing of the bones are fine and the cartilage is looking good. I’m doing well, I’m working out at the gym three days a week and my trainer is slowly getting me back into lower body exercises to accommodate the buildup of strength in my legs.
"Recommend It For Others With Similar Symptoms"
On February 10th, 2017, I received one dose of stem cells to my right knee joint. Before this, x-rays and a MRI showed me to be bone-on-bone, and I had received a steroid injection – without any relief. It was difficult to walk up and down stairs and walk on uneven ground. Kneeling on the ground was out of the question. I saw information on an informational seminar and invited my wife to come with me. I was encouraged by what I learned and signed up for a visit with Dr. Ginakes at that meeting, also requesting that my previous x-ray and MRI files be sent down. I was determined to be a good candidate and within 6 weeks, a sonogram showed space between the leg bones and it was more comfortable for me to walk and do stairs. I returned almost 8 months later for a follow-up – another sonogram showed still more space. I am very happy that I made the decision to do this treatment and would heartily recommend it for others with similar signs and symptoms.
"I Am Looking Forward To Getting My Life Back"
I was unable to do much walking, no golf, no tennis and I was hobbling around so much I worried about throwing my back out. I was in constant bone on bone pain. I had my injection… I have shown steady, if slow, progress ever since. I am now walking 4 to 5 miles a week. I am playing golf with little or no pain or stiffness… I will wait at least another month before I try tennis, but I am looking forward to getting my life back!
Thank you for the help and professionalism.
"Introduction To Stem Cells"
Dr Kasendorf video from Stem X on Vimeo. “I’m a physiatrist specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. We’ve been performing procedures at our facility known as stem cell injections. In the years I’ve been doing this, I have not seen anything work as well as this. Over this time, most of the injections that we do are for anti-inflammatory or for simply just pain relief; the stem…
