What are Mesenchymal Stem Cells?

Amniotic membrane tissue contain mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) which have been proven to offer great promise for cell-based therapies as these cells are capable of extensive self-renewal.


Placenta amnion membrane tissue has been found to be a rich and valuable source of mesenchymal stem cells  which is bio-equivalent to Bone Marrow-mesenchymal stem cells. 1.


Mesenchymal stem cells are multipotent and exert anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects. They can differentiate into multiple cell types and can be used to treat orthopedic conditions such as osteoarthritis, meniscal, tendon, and ligament injuries.  1.
